The Whistler Children’s Chorus spent last Saturday (October 5th) in Pemberton at Signal Hill School at an all-day workshop in partnership with the Pemberton Children’s Choir. It was a great opportunity to get to meet other kids who like to sing and make music. It was the first of several scheduled joint rehearsals in preparation for our shared April concerts in Pemberton and Whistler. The singers really enjoyed Pemberton’s music director, Helen Van Spronsen’s dinosaur warm-up song! We ended the day with a mini-performance of our ‘works in progress’ for parents and other guests. Many thanks go to our Whistler parents who so kindly volunteered to drive our singers to and from Pemberton.
Mark February 28th on your calendars – the Pemberton Children’s Choir will be joining us in Whistler for a pizza party and singing that evening.
We have now begun learning our Christmas and holiday season repertoire as well as final preparations for the municipal Remembrance Day ceremony. Therefore, we are not accepting new choir members until January 2014.
